When & How to Seek Care for COVID-19 Symptoms

If you have symptoms or you have been exposed to the virus through direct contact with someone who has tested positive, you should contact your health care provider to determine whether you should be screened and how best to isolate yourself from others and for how long.

Testing, both PCR and rapid testing, is available at most major pharmacies. Check your local pharmacy's website to learn more about availability in your area.

Unless you are suffering a medical emergency, please do not show up unannounced at an emergency room or other medical facility. If it is determined that you need to be screened or require further medical care, do not bring friends or family members with you, unless they are your caregiver. If you are not experiencing a medical emergency you should speak with your healthcare provider, who can direct you to the appropriate facility. Please wear a mask covering your nose and mouth to your appointment. If you have an inhaler, bring that with you as well.
