ATLANTIC GENERAL HOSPITAL TO OFFER TAI CHI

Berlin, Md. – Atlantic General Hospital is continuing its offering of Tai Chi for Diabetes starting with a new session beginning November 9.

Studies have shown that Tai Chi exercise stabilizes blood sugar. The “moving meditation” reduces blood pressure and stress – which both can be side effects of Diabetes. It is a safe, low impact, slow movement form of exercise that is good for those with mobility issues and it can be easily altered to the individual’s ability. Though it is geared toward those with Diabetes, this offering is open to all.
