Atlantic General Hospital Raises Money for Nursing Scholarship Fund in 2nd Annual Pool Tournament

Atlantic General Hospital associates and friends recently gathered at the Green Turtle in West Ocean City for a good game of pool to raise funds for Atlantic General’s James G. & Nancy W. Barrett Scholarship Program.

The 2nd Annual Atlantic General Hospital Pool Tournament raised more than $500.00 to benefit the scholarship fund, which provides fully paid tuition and books for selected applicants who are earning a degree in nursing, in return for their agreement to work at the hospital after graduation and certification.

The winners of the tournament were Dr. Jason Clem, a family doctor at the Townsend Medical Center on 10th Street in Ocean City, first place for 8-ball; AGH Vice President of Finance Cheryl Nottingham, second place for 8-ball; Al Celia, first place for 9-ball; and Christian Castaneda, second place for 9-ball. The Team Challenge 8-ball winners were Dr. Roy Cragway, a physician at the Townsend Medical Center and organizer of the event, and Red Salyers.
