Ellen RoweEllen Rowe

Dr. Ellen Rowe is a native of Sussex County. She received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health Services and Medical Ethics from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where she also played Division 1 Field Hockey for 4 years. She received a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. She graduated from medical school in 2018 from St. George’s University School of Medicine, where she was president of the Women in Medicine organization and member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency at VCU-Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Medical Women’s Association and the American College of Physicians. She is board-certified in Family Medicine.

Stephen Waters, M.D.Christina Hargis, DNP

Family Nurse Practitioner Christina Hargis joined the medical staff of Atlantic General Health System in October 2020 to provide primary care at their Pocomoke office alongside Dr. John Whittaker. Christina earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Salisbury University in May 2020. Prior to that she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Salisbury University. She started her career in nursing at The University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle Washington, where she worked on the cardiothoracic surgical unit. In 2015, she joined the team at The Johns Hopkins Hospital on their Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit. Upon her return to the Eastern Shore, she worked as an RN and case manager at Peninsula Regional’s wound care center. During that time she was also employed at a medication assisted treatment center for substance abuse. Christina is board certified in family medicine by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
