The development of Atlantic General Hospital's Women's Health Center, located within the new James G. Barrett Medical Office Building at the mouth of Healthway Drive on the hospital's Berlin campus, has begun with the relocation of Dr. Kertrisa McWhite's breast care services practice.

Dr. McWhite's new office, which includes multiple exam and consultation rooms, affords her the space she needs to accomodate her growing practice and gives her the capability to perform a portion of breast biopsies and other simple procedures right there within the office.

Extending to women the comfort of having more services performed by the physician with whom they have already built a trusted relationship in familiar, soothing surroundings, is intrinsic to the philosophy upon which the Women's Health Center is being built.

Eventually, the Women's Health Center will include gynecologic services, nutritional counseling, holistic care and other services women need to remain in the best of health.
