ONE WEEK UNTIL THE 16TH ANNUAL

Swim scheduled for 1 p.m. on New Year’s Day, registration begins at noon

The beachfront of the Princess Royale Hotel on 91st Street in Ocean City will be crowded once again with hundreds of Penguin Swim participants and spectators ready to cheer them on as the penguins plunge into the icy Atlantic on New Year’s Day.

With just days remaining until the New Year, there is still time to raise money and join a team.

Wonderful prizes will be awarded to brave Penguins for getting wet for a good cause. First, second and third place trophies will be awarded to individual penguins who raise the most money as well as to teams of penguins who raise the most money. Special recognition will also be given to the youngest and oldest penguin.

This fun-filled family event is sponsored this year by Arby’s of Salisbury, WMDT 47, Comcast Spotlight, Clear Channel Outdoor, Coastal Style Publishing Group, Berlin/Ocean City Wal-Mart, the Guerrieri Family Foundation, Candy Kitchen Shoppes, the Blue Ox Bar & Grill, Great Scott Broadcasting, Red Sun Custom Apparel, Atlantic Smith Cropper & Deeley, Fisher’s Popcorn, Peninsula Rehab and Sports Medicine, Bull on the Beach, and the Princess Royale Oceanfront Hotel & Conference Center.
