Mr. Conner, Thank you for your comment, these are actually last years dates on this page. Please see this link for our flu clinics this year. http://www.atlanticgeneral.org/Main/TheFlu.aspx
In regards to your question, anyone who is currently undergoing medical treatment should consult their physician regarding the flu vaccine.

I am on Enbrel injections for psoriasis. I cannot have the flu shot if it is a live virus. Wanted to know if it is still possible to have if the virus is inactive?

We would also like to invite you to attend the annual Visions for Total Health Conference on Saturday, November 5 at Millsboro Middle School in Millsboro, Delaware. Atlantic General Hospital has made arrangements with the Sussex County Health Department to offer free flu shots during that event.

Ms. Marshall,
Thank you for your comments. Ongoing feedback from the community helps us better shape healthcare service delivery. We will certainly take this into consideration when planning next year's clinics.

I am also sorry to see that the Saturday clinic was dropped. I understand your explanation that you had a better turn out of people during the week, but it leaves a gap for people that cannot get off work during the week and/or have no health insurance to go to their primary care giver. I would have liked to have seen at least 1 or 2 Saturday clinics offered in conjunction to the weekday clinics. Hopefully, next year a Saturday clinic will be considered.

Mr. Lockhart, we apologize for any inconvenience this year's free flu clinic schedule may pose. Our staff makes every effort to be responsive to community needs. We experienced very low participation in our Saturday clinic last year, with only 338 vaccines given; we saw two to three times as many community members during our Wednesday clinics and opted to hold all the clinics on that day of the week at the hospital this year. We also shifted the time of the Wednesday clinics to earlier in the day as people were often waiting in the lobby at 1:30-2 p.m. for a 3 p.m. clinic start, and numbers waned in the evening as it became dark.
Again, we apologize for any difficulty and urge you to schedule a time to visit your primary care provider for the vaccine if you are in one of the risk categories.

Very sorry to see Saturday clinics changed to Wednesday. Can you explain the need to change? This creates a real problem for me to participate.
