The free event, scheduled for Thursday, October 20, offers life-saving breast cancer prevention education, complimentary clinical breast exams and Achilles bone scans as well as massages and refreshments. Attendees will have a chance to meet guest speaker Rota Knott, a local resident and breast cancer survivor, and hear her story. There will also be an opportunity to learn the difference between a traditional film mammogram and a digital mammogram and experience what cancerous versus non-cancerous lumps in a breast can feel like.
