As part of its annual meeting, Atlantic General Hospital Corporation appointed new officers to the Board of Directors and named an additional member to the Board.
Colleen “Cam” Bunting, previously vice chairperson of the Board of Directors, was recently appointed to the position of chairperson. Cam is an accomplished area Realtor and owner of Bunting Realty, Inc. Named to the Top 5% of all Realtors in the Coastal Association of Realtors, she is a real estate broker and has designations as a Certified Residential Specialist, an Accredited Buyer's Representative, Graduate Realtor Institute, and e-Pro (online real estate specialist). She is a past board member of the Coastal Association of Realtors and Coastal Hospice, and a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Maryland Association of Realtors, Coastal Association of Realtors, the Women's Council of Realtors, and the Eastern Shore Builders Association. A graduate of James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury and the University of Maryland at College Park, she was hired by Paramount to work on the film Runaway Bride. "Ever since I was in high school, I wanted to do community service," Bunting said. "Having a hospital in this community is important, especially for our aging population. Travel is difficult for the aged, and we have a strong group of doctors to fulfill their needs." Bunting and her husband, Layton E. "Woody" Bunting, have three adult children, Chris, Shawn and Jennifer.
John R. Townsend, of Ocean City is owner of Byte Size, Inc. He is a graduate of Worcester Country School in Berlin and Washington College in Chestertown. He and his wife, Dawn, have three daughters, Sarah, Sophie and Anna, and a son, Jack.
New Board Member
William C. Hudson, an attorney whose office is located in his hometown of Pocomoke, serves on the Board of Governors for the Maryland State Bar Association and practices in the state and federal courts in Maryland and Virginia. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Maryland Trial Lawyers Association and Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and a fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation. He serves on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the First Judicial Circuit and on the Maryland Court of Appeals Commission on Professionalism. He is active in the local community, serving as a director on the boards of several non-profit organizations and as a mediator for the Circuit Court for Worcester County. A graduate of Pocomoke High School, Salisbury University (BA), University of Maryland School of Law (JD) and the Graduate Institute at St. Johns College in Annapolis (MA), he finds serving on Atlantic General Hospital’s Board of Directors a good opportunity to give back to the community. “With the aging of the population and the increasing year-round population in the county, we need AGH to grow and prosper,” Hudson said. Hudson lives in Berlin with his wife, Kristy, and their three daughters, Elizabeth, Mary Alex, and Caroline.
