Your Payment Options

Atlantic General Hospital bills your insurance carrier according to information given at registration. Any remaining balances, after your insurance company pays, are your responsibility. If your insurance does not pay, please contact the insurance company to resolve any issues.

When paying any balance, you have a number of options: pay in full, arrange a payment plan, or request financial assistance. Please click the sections below to learn more about your payment options.

Payment in Full

You can make payment by cash, debit card, check, money order, or Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card.

Pay in person: Our cashier is available to take your payment for both Atlantic General Hospital and Atlantic General Health System bills. The cashier office is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please visit the Outpatient Services/ER Lobby at Atlantic General Hospital, located at 9733 Healthway Drive, Berlin, MD 21811 and ask for the cashier.

HELP Payment Plans

If you need a longer period of time to pay your balance, you can apply for a Help Payment Plan. Plan lengths range from 12 to 36 months.

Regardless of the term you choose, your payment plan with HELP Financial will carry a 0.0% annual percentage rate (APR) during the first 12 months. After that, a low 8.0% APR will be applied to the remaining principle balance only.

When applying for a HELP payment plan, please have your hospital bill available. You will need to provide the following information:

  • Guarantor (person who carries the insurance plan) and patient names
  • Guarantor address
  • Hospital account number(s)
  • Hospital balance(s)
