ATLANTIC GENERAL HOSPITAL AND HEALTH SYSTEM AUXILIARY HOLDS AWARDS LUNCHEON

Berlin, Md. The Auxiliary of Atlantic General Hospital and Health System recently held its annual awards luncheon and presented president and CEO, Michael Franklin, FACHE with a check in the amount of $50,000 toward their $300,000 pledge to the hospital’s Campaign for the Future.

Judy Baumgartner, Auxiliary teen volunteer coordinator, presented an award to two Stephen Decatur high school students, Sarah Bianca and Dana Kim, for their outstanding service to the hospital. Ms. Bianca volunteered 125 hours throughout the school year and plans to continue her service in the registration/information department throughout the summer months. Ms. Kim has provided the registration/information department with 158 hours of service and, too, will continue volunteering throughout the summer.

“Ms. Bianca’s and Ms. Kim’s service is much appreciated. We are so blessed to have the help and support of our high school volunteers. Both young ladies should be very proud of their commitment to serving their local, not-for-profit hospital and the community,” said Judy Baumgartner, teen volunteer coordinator.

Volunteers who have contributed 100 hours of service or more to the hospital and health system and all committee chairs were also recognized. Volunteers support Atlantic General Hospital by donating their time and expertise in every aspect of the hospital and health system as well as in the community, providing more than 40,000 hours of service to the hospital annually.

Volunteers also serve on hospital teams and committees providing crucial insight and community support to Atlantic General Hospital.
