Atlantic General Hospital Celebrates Its Nursing Staff

Every year, National Nurses Week focuses attention on the diverse ways America's 3.1 million registered nurses work to save lives and to improve the health of millions of individuals. The American Nurses Association (ANA) selected "Delivering Quality and Innovation in Patient Care" as the theme for 2013.

National Nurses Week began on May 6 and ended on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of nursing as a modern profession. This is always a full week for Atlantic General Hospital and its nursing staff, who celebrate their focus on quality patient care, best practices in nursing and continuing education. This is also the week that those clinicians who go above and beyond are recognized by their peers.
