Atlantic General Hospital's Visions for Total Health Community Health Program Gears up for Another Event

On August 1, the local community was treated to a morning of health and wellness information and screenings at the Pavilions Office Complex in Berlin. For the first time Atlantic General Hospital partnered with the CAMBR Company, bringing 35 vendors and screeners to the complex to share their expertise with more than 130 participants. Education sessions on Alzheimer’s disease, hearing loss, Pilates, childhood obesity, diabetes and summer safety were also held.

Those who missed this event will have another opportunity to take advantage of a wealth of free screenings and education when Atlantic General Hospital’s Visions for Total Health community education program holds their free annual conference, titled “The Changing Face of Healthcare,” on November 14.

Attendees will have access to free screenings, demonstrations, therapy sessions, more than 60 vendors and six breakout speakers during the event; they can also enjoy the talents of Tony Award-winning playwright and performer Sarah Jones, who will be performing her one-woman show titled “A Right to Care.” The conference will be held once again at Stephen Decatur High School in Berlin, From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. To register, visit www.atlanticgeneral.org. For more information, call Dawn Denton at 410-641-9268.
